50cubes is looking for a Game Designer!
We're seeking a sharp and dedicated game designer who has a mad passion for creating engaging, fun and profitable games.
You should be interested in learning and contributing a great deal to
the success of our games and our company in a fast-paced, creative
startup environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work directly with product and develop team throughout the development & game lifecycle to make great high quality, fun games
Create or adapt game features for existing titles
Develop and present new ideas to the team and lead game design meetings
Server as the key individual approached for design, balance, and solutions for great game play
Produce and update design specs, levels, balance sheets and misc documentation
Observe & analyze user testing, and recommend design solutions
Recognize and stay current with game design trends, patterns, and customer requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Accountability: own it!
1 - 3 years of game design experience in the casual social games space
You keep up with the latest in the gaming industry and are an avid gamer
Find the fun: you easily get to the core of the fun of any feature. Able to design compelling and engaging game play
A team player: present your ideas and take input. Good ideas get implemented
Extensive knowledge of game mechanics, game rule systems design, level design, game economies, virtual goods and in-game monetization techniques
Multi-tasking: we are a fast-paced, agile and dynamic environment. You need to be able to juggle multiple responsibilities
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant major or equivalent
